AR System 4.0.2 API for Linux (developers release)

This version of the AR System API for Linux is an unsupported,
developers release. It consists of the full 4.0.2 version of the
API delivered along with the driver and a sample Makefile to
demonstrate compiler and link options.

This API has not undergone the full development and QA cycle so it
is being released as an unsupported, developers library. This means
that the library is not an official part of the AR System release
and is not supported. You are welcome to use the API library with
this caveat. There is no timeframe for releasing an official, fully
supported version of the library on the Linux platform.

The code is the same, and the tests that have been run have been
successful with all operations running consistently with other
platforms. So, the expectation is that the API will work
successfully just like on other supported platforms.

The library and the executable were built on the Red Hat 6.0 version
of Linux. The driver program supplied does work on this version but
may fail on earlier versions. The library itself is compatible with
earlier versions. The driver can be rebuilt from the driver source
from the AR System installation using the Makefile for Linux that is
provided in this download. In general, if you are having trouble
with the driver program, we suggest you get the source of the driver
from the API area and recompile for your system. There are library
compatibility issues with programs compiled on different environments.
The library itself should be compatible in different environments.
